Role Summary
The E-commerce Manager will oversee and drive online sales growth across multiple marketplaces and the company’s D2C platforms. This role involves strategizing and executing e-commerce initiatives, optimizing operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. The candidate will ensure smooth execution of online promotions, campaigns, and inventory management, while mentoring a small team for high performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace Management
- Manage and grow relationships with Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, FirstCry, BigBasket, and other quick commerce platforms.
- Ensure optimal product listings, catalog quality, competitive pricing, and stock availability.
- Track and respond to marketplace algorithms, trends, and policies to improve visibility and ranking.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, flash sales, and seasonal offers.
2. D2C & Website Sales
Drive traffic, conversions, and revenue through the company’s own e-commerce portal.Oversee UX / UI improvements, checkout process, and marketing funnels.Work with the digital marketing team on SEO, paid ads, remarketing, and email campaigns.3. P&L & Budget Control
Own the e-commerce sales budget and profitability targets.Track ROI on ads, discounts, and marketplace spends to ensure cost-effectiveness.Maintain competitive pricing while safeguarding margins.4. Analytics & Reporting
Analyze sales data, customer trends, and channel performance.Present actionable insights to management for decision-making.Implement dashboards for real-time KPI tracking.5. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, train, and mentor the e-commerce and cataloging teams.Work closely with inventory, logistics, and customer support for seamless order fulfillment.Foster a high-performance culture with focus on growth and operational excellence.Candidate Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience in E-commerce management (marketplace + D2C) with proven revenue growth record.Deep understanding of online marketplaces, algorithms, and e-commerce best practices.Proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and marketplace dashboards.Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
