Primary title : Business Development Executive - EdTech

About The Opportunity

We are hiring an on-site Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth across institutional and corporate segments. This role suits a target-driven sales professional who thrives on hunting new accounts, building consultative relationships, and closing enrollment and partnership deals across India.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new leads across schools, colleges, corporates, and training partners using targeted outreach and inbound lead follow-up.
  • Conduct high-volume outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn) and run discovery meetings to map customer needs and propose relevant learning solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline in CRM; create accurate forecasts and progress reports for management.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and close contracts—negotiate commercial terms to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Onboard new clients with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and initial customer success handover.
  • Collect competitive intelligence and market feedback to inform product positioning and promotional campaigns.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Proven B2B sales experience in EdTech, SaaS, or training services with demonstrable pipeline management.
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or HubSpot) and Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • Expertise in lead generation tactics including cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn engagement.
  • Track record of negotiating and closing medium- to large-size institutional or corporate deals.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and on-site demos across assigned territories in India.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to present product value to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Preferred

  • Experience selling to K-12 institutions, universities, or L&D teams within corporations.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling frameworks and solution-based pricing models.
  • Prior exposure to digital learning platforms, LMS integrations, or content licensing agreements.
