Corporate Advisory - Chartered Accountant

Walter Advisors is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with 0–2 years of post-qualification experience to join our consulting team. This role offers an opportunity to work strategic, financial, taxation and regulatory matters, and contribute to diverse projects across industries.

Job Responsibilities

Management Consulting & Corporate Advisory

Strategic Financial Leadership : Deliver strategic financial oversight and direction to client businesses.

Decision-Making Support : Advise on key financial initiatives such as greenfield projects capital deployment etc. and conduct in-depth evaluations of business profitability and margin optimization to drive sustainable growth.

Financial Reporting & Ind AS Advisory : Enhance financial reporting standards, ensuring alignment with Ind AS, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Succession Planning Advisory : Assist founders and promoters in designing and executing succession strategies, ensuring long-term business continuity.

Compliance & Regulatory Guidance : Provide advisory on statutory matters including accounting standards, corporate disclosures, and audit readiness.

Regulatory & Taxation Advisory : Offer integrated advice on direct and indirect taxation, FEMA, and Companies Act compliance tailored to client operations.

Advise international clients on strategic and succession planning by analyzing the tax and regulatory frameworks applicable in relevant jurisdictions.

Coordinate with clients' internal compliance teams and external advisors / auditors to provide guidance and ensure timely execution of deliverables.

Assist clients in the planning and implementation of business restructuring initiatives, including (but not limited to) mergers, demergers, and entity structure conversions, to optimize operational efficiency and compliance.

Provide advisory services on structuring joint ventures (JVs) with international partners in accordance with applicable FDI and ODI regulations.

Conduct valuations in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements to determine the fair value of businesses for various strategic and compliance purposes.

Draft, review, and vet a range of legal documents, including but not limited to term sheets, Share Subscription and Shareholders' Agreements (SSHA), and Operating Agreements.

Position Requirements :

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0-2 years post qualification experience in similar profile including articleship experience in audit and taxation.

Experience in managing clients with a turnover exceeding Rs. 200 crores in the manufacturing sector.

Must have experience of preparing financial statements.

Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
