Role Details

Xavier College  is seeking a dynamic and committed Assistant Head of Campus – Teaching, Learning and Wellbeing to join our vibrant  Evanston  (R-6) campus. This senior leadership position is classified as a POR4 for a fixed period of four-years and is commencing in January 2026 .

This role may include a teaching component and should be considered in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.

As a key member of the campus leadership team, the Assistant Head of Campus – Teaching, Learning and Wellbeing will work in close partnership with the Head of Campus to drive school improvement and ensure excellence in teaching, learning and wellbeing practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge and proven experience in curriculum leadership, pedagogical development and pastoral care.

As the  Assistant Head of Campus – Teaching, Learning and Wellbeing you will :

• Lead the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of the College curriculum and pedagogical practices
• Lead pastoral care and behaviour management whilst promoting restorative practices, supporting families and enhancing student wellbeing
• Provide leadership and management of teaching staff, including POR roles, professional learning, performance development and workforce planning, in collaboration with the Head of Campus
• Develop and oversee strategies that support effective student transition through Primary, Middle and Secondary years, ensuring compliance with all internal and external requirements
• Manage day to day operational matters relating to staffing, including timetables, relief allocation and leave management
