Area Collection Manager-Microfinance

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Management :
• Lead and manage a team of branch collection officers and field collection agents.
• Train and motivate staff to ensure high productivity and adherence to collection protocols.
• Collection Operations :
• Plan and implement collection strategies for the area to achieve collection targets.
• Monitor overdue accounts and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
• Coordinate with the legal team for recovery proceedings when necessary.
• Portfolio Monitoring :
• Analyze delinquency trends, recovery patterns, and take corrective action.
• Ensure regular follow-up of overdue cases (DPD buckets).
• Identify and escalate high-risk cases and recommend remedial actions.
• Compliance and Documentation :
• Ensure collections are conducted ethically, and in compliance with RBI and company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate MIS, reports, and documentation related to collections.
• Conduct field visits to verify customer status and recovery progress.
• Customer Interaction :
• Engage with customers to understand repayment issues and provide viable resolution plans.
• Handle escalated cases and disputes with diplomacy and professionalism.
• Reporting :
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to regional / zonal heads.
• Monitor collection KPIs and propose area-specific improvements.
