Role Summary :
Hakti Pumps Ltd is looking for an Area Sales Manager (Govt. Sales) to join their dynamic team. This role is primarily responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within a designated territory, with a focus on selling products and services to government agencies. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and have the ability to navigate complex bureaucratic structures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Strategy Development :
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and action plan to effectively penetrate the government market.
- Identify key opportunities, potential clients, and strategic partnerships to increase market share.
- Territory Management :
- Take ownership of the designated geographic area, which may include multiple municipalities, states, or regions.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to maximize sales potential.
- Government Procurement :
- Understand the government procurement process, including bidding, RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure all requirements are met to participate in government tenders.
- Relationship Building :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within various government departments.
- Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to enhance networking opportunities.
- Sales Presentations :
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to government agencies, showcasing the value and benefits of the products and services offered.
- Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and challenges of government clients.
- Team Collaboration :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to government sales and client satisfaction.
Qualifications : - Education :
- UG : Any Graduate
- PG : MBA / PGDM in Marketing
- Experience :
- Proven experience in B2B sales, specifically targeting government clients.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Experience with government tenders, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
