Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of email marketing strategies, segmentation, and campaign management. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns to engage our audience, nurture leads, and drive conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with the company's marketing objectives and customer lifecycle stages
- Define target audiences and create segmented email lists for personalized messaging
- Plan, create, and execute email campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and automated drip campaigns
- Build and schedule email campaigns using email marketing platforms or automation tools
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates), and adjust strategies to optimize results
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and content creators to develop compelling email content, subject lines, and visuals
- Ensure all email content is clear, concise, and aligned with brand messaging
- Implement A / B tests for subject lines, content, images, and calls-to-action to improve open and click-through rates
- Analyze test results and make data-driven decisions to enhance campaign effectiveness
- Maintain and grow email subscriber lists while adhering to email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR)
- Segment email lists based on demographics, behavior, engagement, and other criteria
- Set up and maintain email marketing automation workflows, including welcome sequences, lead nurturing, and post-purchase follow-ups
- Ensure timely delivery of automated emails based on user actions and triggers
- Generate regular reports on email marketing performance and share insights with the marketing team and senior management
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement in email campaigns
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices to maintain a positive sender reputation
- Monitor and manage email deliverability, spam reports, and unsubscribe requests
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or similar role with a successful track record in email campaign managementProficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact) and marketing automation toolsStrong understanding of email marketing best practices, segmentation, and list managementAnalytical skills with the ability to interpret email marketing metrics and derive actionable insightsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCreative thinking and strong attention to detailProject management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and timelinesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and across functionsSkills Required
