Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our software development teams. This role requires a strong technical background combined with proven leadership skills to drive execution, ensure engineering excellence, and foster innovation. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on technical contributions with people management and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers (SDEs, Sr. SDEs, etc.).
- Drive end-to-end project delivery, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define roadmaps and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices in coding standards, architecture, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct regular 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and career development sessions with engineers.
- Promote a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and bring relevant improvements to the stack.
- Manage resource planning, hiring, and team scaling.
- Monitor engineering metrics (velocity, quality, uptime) and drive continuous improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.8–12 years of overall software development experience, with at least 2–4 years in a leadership / managerial role .Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack development (Node.js, Java, Go, Python, React, Flutter, or similar).Solid understanding of system design, architecture, and scalable distributed systems .Proven experience leading teams delivering high-quality products in fast-paced environments.Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.Good to Have
Prior experience in startup or high-growth environments .Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure) .Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.
