Position Summary :
The Business Finance & Reporting Manager will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and management reporting to support business decision-making. The role involves preparing accurate MIS, budgeting & forecasting, variance analysis, and working closely with business teams to provide insights on performance.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Management Reporting (MIS) & Analysis :
- Prepare and consolidate monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Analyze business performance, identify key trends, and provide variance analysis (actual vs. budget / forecast).
- Prepare management dashboards and reports for leadership and board reviews.
- Support business teams with ad-hoc financial analysis and data-driven insights.
2. Financial Planning & Business Partnering (FP&A) :
Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.Track business KPIs, margin analysis, and cost performance.Partner with functional and business teams to support financial decision-making.Support project evaluations, scenario analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.3. Audit & Compliance :
Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for statutory, internal, and tax audits.Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.Strengthen internal controls and ensure timely audit closures with minimal observations.4. Accounting Support & Taxation Coordination :
Review accounting entries, provisions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of books.Support tax-related workings (GST, TDS, and Income Tax audits).Liaise with consultants and internal tax teams for submissions and assessments.5. Process & System Improvements :
Enhance efficiency in reporting and analytics through automation or ERP-based tools.Standardize processes for MIS, audit, and reporting across business units.Drive continuous improvement in control environment and reporting accuracy.Key Skills & Competencies :
Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.In-depth understanding of MIS, audits (statutory, internal, tax), and FP&A.Sound knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, and taxation basics.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / NetSuite) and MS Excel / Power BI.Good communication and stakeholder management skills.Qualification & Experience :
Chartered Accountant (CA)4+ years of experience in finance, reporting, and audit roles.Experience in handling MIS, statutory / internal / tax audits, and business finance / FP&A.Exposure to Pharma, Healthcare, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors preferred.(ref : iimjobs.com)
