Position Overview

The Industrial Engineering Manager will lead the IE function across all production units, driving process optimization, productivity enhancement, and cost efficiency through innovative methods and data-driven insights. The role involves developing standard operating procedures, implementing lean manufacturing systems, and mentoring the IE team to support continuous improvement and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering team across multiple units (cutting, stitching, finishing, packing).

Develop and implement time and motion studies , SMV (Standard Minute Value) calculations, and capacity planning models for all production lines.

Drive productivity improvement initiatives and ensure achievement of cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Planning teams to optimize line layouts, manpower deployment, and workflow efficiency.

Lead lean manufacturing , Kaizen , and 5S initiatives to improve workplace efficiency and reduce waste.

Implement line balancing , bottleneck analysis , and method improvement techniques .

Introduce and monitor performance metrics (OEE, Efficiency %, DHU) and present analytical reports to management.

Work closely with the merchandising and planning teams to support new style introductions , ensuring quick ramp-up and accurate costing.

Provide training and mentoring to IE executives and supervisors to build technical and analytical capabilities.

Lead continuous improvement projects aligned with sustainability and ethical manufacturing standards.

Support automation feasibility studies and digital IE tool implementation to enhance data accuracy and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology, or Production Engineering.

12–18 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, preferably within home textiles, garments, or apparel manufacturing .

Proven track record of improving productivity, reducing cost, and optimizing manufacturing operations .

Hands-on expertise in SMV setting, layout design, time study, and capacity analysis .

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process re-engineering .

Familiar with ERP / MIS tools and IE data analytics systems.

Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills .
