Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Operations & P&L Analyst to work closely with the Founder and key cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for building and managing business performance dashboards, driving insights from financial and operational data, and ensuring tight control over unit economics, inventory, and cost structures. You will play a central role in our monthly business reviews and in shaping the company's short- and long-term strategy with data-backed insights.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards to track KPIs (sales, margins, returns, CAC, AOV, inventory turns, etc.)
- Analyze category-wise, SKU-level, and channel-level performance to identify gaps and opportunities
- Financial Planning & P&L Ownership
- Collaborate with finance to build and monitor the business P&L
- Support quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
- Track actuals vs targets and explain key variances in topline and profitability metrics
- Monitor contribution margins at product and campaign levels
Supply Chain & Inventory Efficiency
Track and optimize inventory turns, sell-through rates, and deadstock percentagesSupport demand forecasting and inventory planning across categories and channelsIdentify levers to reduce logistics and warehousing costs without impacting service levelsCross-Functional & Strategic Support
Partner with marketing, category, and warehouse teams to improve operational efficiency and cost controlDrive performance review meetings with key stakeholders and convert insights into action plansSupport new project evaluations (e.g., offline expansion, product launches) with data-driven feasibility analysisAssist in building SOPs for tracking key cost centers and unit economicsQualifications & Skills
2–4 years of experience in FP&A, business operations, or analytics, preferably in a D2C or ecommerce companyAdvanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; experience with dashboarding tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Notion is a plusStrong understanding of ecommerce metrics : COGS, CAC, AOV, return rates, contribution margins, warehousing costsFamiliarity with Shopify, marketplaces (e.g., Nykaa, Myntra), and ecommerce operationsStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with a bias for action and comfort working in a fast-paced startup environmentWhy Join Us
