Role Overview

The Cascade CMS Architect / Consultant will serve as a technical and strategic advisor for our dev teams. This role is about system design, architecture, governance, and team enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design
• Define Cascade site / subsite structures, foldering conventions, and reusable components.
• Architect structured content types, templates, and blocks for long-term maintainability.
• Governance & Workflow
• Configure and optimize role-based workflows for faculty, staff, marketing, and IT teams.
• Balance centralized control with decentralized publishing needs.
• Integration Planning
• Advise on integrations with DAMs (Bynder, Acquia DAM), accessibility tools (Siteimprove, Monsido, DubBot), and analytics (GA4).
• Guide API-first and headless Cascade use cases.
• Migration & Performance
• Support high-volume content migration (5k–10k+ pages).
• Recommend caching, CDN, and hosting optimizations for scalability.
• Team Enablement
• Train and mentor developers (India / Argentina teams) on Cascade best practices.
• Review code (Velocity, XML, XSLT, JS / CSS) and enforce quality standards.
• Develop internal “cookbooks” for common components and workflows.
