Job Summary :
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer to take ownership of SMC PT project execution —from concept development to installation support. This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong project coordination abilities, deep understanding of SMC PT systems, and proficiency in CAD tools. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless execution by coordinating across departments, ensuring design integrity, and proactively resolving site or production challenges.
A secondary responsibility includes supporting FRP design projects , where the candidate will assist with calculations and provide technical input when required.
Key Responsibilities – SMC PT Projects (Primary Focus) :
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technical inquiries related to SMC PT projects from Sales, Marketing, and internal teams.
- Interpret customer requirements and develop space-optimized layout concepts within physical site constraints.
- Prepare detailed 3D assembly drawings in SolidWorks and precise 2D drawings in AutoCAD for manufacturing and installation.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and provide practical recommendations during proposal stages.
- Collaborate with third-party Structural Analysis consultants to obtain and interpret reports for design validation.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Production, QA, Logistics) to ensure timely release of manufacturing drawings and component availability.
- Conduct quality validation and inspection of manufactured components along with the QA team.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and execute order punching in SAP to initiate procurement and production.
- Monitor project timelines and lead modification / change request processes efficiently.
- Support site-related issues by collaborating with the After-Sales team and revising drawings or specifications as needed.
FRP Project Support (Secondary) :
Assist in detailed design calculations and validation for specialized FRP components.Support senior engineers by providing input on design and material specifications for custom FRP projects.Participate in client discussions to understand FRP project expectations and provide technical feasibility.Maintain proper documentation of design standards and calculation records.Technical Expertise Required :
SolidWorks – 3D modelling, assemblies, and detailed component design.AutoCAD – Precise 2D drafting for layouts and installation documents.Understanding of PT (Pre-Tensioned / Post-Tensioned) system design .Coordination with outsourced structural analysis services .Working knowledge of quality control standards and inspection processes.Experience using SAP for material management and order processing.Familiarity with FRP material properties, behaviour, and design standards (optional but advantageous).Key Skills & Competencies :

Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.5–8 years of experience in SMC PT systems, industrial project execution, or similar roles.Experience with FRP materials and design will be considered an asset.Project management training / certification is a plus.
