Reporting to : International Export Business Head
Potential to progress to General Manager – International Sales or Business Head – Export Division , based on performance and expansion of global markets.
Role Objective
To drive and expand international sales of Stainless Steel MIG & TIG Welding Wires in South & North American markets , building strong customer relationships, developing distribution networks, and achieving revenue & profitability targets while ensuring compliance with international trade norms.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
- Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies for Europe , South & North American markets to achieve business growth in stainless steel MIG & TIG wires.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributors, importers, OEMs, and end-users in target countries.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline with a focus on volume, margin, and long-term growth.
- Conduct regular market visits (travel abroad as required) to strengthen relationships and gather market intelligence.
Business Expansion & Strategy
Map competitors, pricing trends, and customer expectations in South & North America; provide feedback for product development and customization.Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and sales targets for assigned geographies.Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, and credit arrangements with customers / distributors.Potential Agents recruitmentCustomer Relationship & Service
Ensure excellent customer service, timely deliveries, and resolution of queries / complaints.Act as a key account manager for large international clients.Collaborate with technical and production teams to meet specific customer requirements.Compliance & Documentation
Oversee export documentation, LC handling, and ensure compliance with export regulations, customs, and local laws in target markets.Coordinate with logistics and supply chain for smooth order execution.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of sales targets (volume & value) for Europe & South & North American markets.Growth in market share and customer base.New distributor / channel partner appointments.Contribution to profitability (margin improvement).Customer satisfaction and retention.Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Engineering (Metallurgy / Mechanical preferred) or Commerce + MBA in Marketing / International Business.8–15 years of proven experience in international sales, with minimum 5 years in stainless steel consumables / welding wires .Strong network and prior exposure to Europe, South & North American markets .Knowledge of international trade practices, export documentation, and global logistics.Skills & Competencies
In-depth knowledge of Stainless-Steel Core, MIG & TIG Wires market, grades, and applications.Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.Ability to develop long-term distributor and customer relationships.Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish / Portuguese will be an added advantage).Willingness to travel extensively across international markets.
