Job Description – Area Sales Manager (Furniture Segment)

Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager / Area Manager to lead business development for our customised and modular furniture solutions catering to government departments, corporates, and commercial spaces.
The role will primarily focus on North India but will also involve travel to other regions of India for project opportunities. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to set up and lead their own sales team of up to 4 members , ensuring deeper market penetration and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Drive sales in government offices, PSUs, corporate houses, and large institutions .
- Identify new opportunities, build long-term relationships with decision-makers, and ensure client retention.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets for the designated region.
Solution-Based Selling
Understand client requirements for customised and modular furniture – including office setups, workstations, conference rooms, storage solutions, and commercial installations.Present and promote product solutions tailored to customer needs in terms of design, functionality, and budget.Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities.Client Servicing & Project Coordination
Conduct site visits for requirement assessment and space planning.Coordinate with design, production, and installation teams to ensure timely project execution.Ensure client satisfaction through strong after-sales support and problem resolution.Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and manage a sales team of up to 4 people to cover the assigned region.Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide guidance to achieve collective goals.Foster a performance-driven, customer-focused culture within the team.Reporting & Market Development
Provide regular reports on sales pipeline, targets, and market developments.Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking forums.Strengthen brand visibility in the government and institutional furniture segment.Qualifications & Experience
Education : Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline. (Background in interiors / furniture industry is a plus.)Experience :5–8 years of experience in furniture, interiors, or project-based sales .Strong background in government sales / institutional sales .Prior exposure to customised or modular office furniture solutions will be preferred.Skills :Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong networking with procurement officials and senior decision-makers.Leadership ability to manage and motivate a small sales team.Self-driven, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively.Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range : ₹40,000 – ₹75,000 per month (based on experience & suitability).Allowances & Perks : Travel and other benefits as per company policy.Growth : Leadership role with freedom to build a sales team and grow the business across regions.Application Process
