Position overview

As a Design Manager – Machine Design, you will manage a team of design engineers responsible for developing innovative machine designs, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and alignment with customer requirements. You will serve as a key interface between our clients and the internal design team, providing both technical leadership and project management oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and development of special purpose machines (SPM), automation equipment, and industrial machinery.
• Manage the complete design lifecycle — concept, feasibility, design validation, detailing, and manufacturing support.
• Provide technical direction to design engineers using CAD tools : Solid Edge
• Collaborate with customers to understand design requirements, functional specifications, and project deliverables.
• Oversee design reviews, DFM / DFA studies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety norms.
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and electrical / automation teams for seamless project execution.
• Evaluate and approve bought-out components, materials, and suppliers for project requirements.
• Drive innovation, standardization, and design optimization across multiple projects.
• Mentor and develop design engineers to build technical competency and team capability.
