Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Audio Software Engineer with hands-on experience in Linux audio subsystems, audio codec integration, and Dolby audio technologies. The ideal candidate will work on embedded audio systems for high-end consumer devices like soundbars and home theater systems, with a strong focus on audio quality, standards compliance, and Responsibilities :
- Develop and integrate audio drivers including DAI drivers, audio codecs, and platform-specific Linux audio subsystems.
- Work with ALSA, PulseAudio, and low-level Linux audio frameworks.
- Implement and optimize Dolby Audio SDKs including MS12 for consumer audio products.
- Support playback and processing of various Dolby audio formats such as Dolby Digital, Digital+, Atmos, TrueHD, and AC-4.
- Perform Dolby compliance testing and assist with certification processes.
- Analyze audio signals using tools like Audacity or equivalent for debugging and quality assurance.
- Apply audio theoretical knowledge including bit depth, bitrate, sample rate, channels, and metadata handling in product development.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and test teams to deliver high-performance audio Skills :
- Strong knowledge of Linux audio architecture and driver development
- Experience with audio codec integration and DAI (Digital Audio Interface) configuration
- Familiarity with ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) and PulseAudio
- Hands-on experience with Dolby SDKs, particularly MS12
- Deep understanding of audio formats and signal processing (Dolby Digital, Atmos, AC-4, etc.)
- Proficiency with tools like Audacity for waveform and audio metadata analysis
- Experience in compliance testing and certification of Dolby audio systems
- Solid grasp of audio theory bit depth, sample rate, channels, compression
