Senior Audio Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain Linux audio subsystems, including DAI (Digital Audio Interface) drivers and integration of audio codecs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot audio data using tools like Audacity or equivalent waveform / audio editors.
• Work extensively with ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) and PulseAudio frameworks.
• Integrate and optimize Dolby Audio Codecs and the Dolby SDK for high-end consumer audio products.
• Handle playback and decoding of advanced Dolby formats : Dolby Digital, Digital+, Atmos, TrueHD, and AC-4.
• Work on integration and optimization of Dolby MS12 decoder.
• Ensure Dolby compliance through extensive testing, validation, and certification support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality audio systems.
• Apply strong theoretical knowledge in bit depth, bitrate, sample rate, audio channels, and metadata handling for signal processing and product Skills :
• 610 years of experience in embedded audio systems and Linux audio stack
• Hands-on experience in DAI driver development and audio codec integration
• Deep understanding of audio engineering fundamentals sample rates, bit depths, channels, compression, metadata
• Experience with audio debugging tools such as Audacity or similar
• Proficiency with ALSA and PulseAudio
• Strong knowledge of Dolby Audio technologies : SDKs, formats (Digital, Digital+, Atmos, AC-4), and decoder (MS12)
• Experience in Dolby compliance testing, certification processes, and validation tools
• Excellent debugging, documentation, and collaboration skills
