Description
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mainframe technologies, particularly in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and IBM DB2. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on reverse engineering a Mainframe application for a large customer codebase, decoding business logic, identifying data dependencies, and collaborating with the trading team to understand their needs and provide the necessary support.
Responsibilities
- Reverse engineering the application functionality by decoding the business logic written in Cobol-DB2 Programs, CICS, and JCL
- Identifying different data dependencies on the different modules and all other dependencies (internal and external)
- Creating data mapping for input and output fields as per business context
- Documenting and simplifying all the business rules being implemented in the application
- Collaborating with the trading team to understand their needs and provide necessary support
- Working on enhancements and improvements as per project need
