Role Overview : The Sales Executive for SBU3 will support the Corporate Gifting sales manager in expanding our corporate client base and ensuring smooth execution of the sales process. This is a junior-to-mid level B2B sales role, ideal for someone with 1-3 years of sales or business development experience who is eager to grow in the corporate sales domain. The Sales Executive will be involved in lead generation, client outreach, follow-ups, and day-to-day management of sales activities for corporate accounts. They act as the backbone of the corporate sales team by handling preliminary communications, coordinating internally for proposals, and making sure client requests are addressed promptly. This role reports to the Sales Manager, SBU3, working closely to meet team targets for corporate gifting.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead Generation & Outreach : Identify new business opportunities and potential corporate clients by researching industries and companies. Proactively reach out via calls, emails, and LinkedIn to introduce Suspire's corporate gifting services and set up meetings or demos. Essentially, work on the top of the sales funnel to create and qualify leads for the corporate gifting vertical.
Client Relationship Support : Help build and maintain relationships with corporate prospects and clients, serving as a point of contact for routine communications. Provide timely responses to client inquiries and coordinate any information they need (e.g., product catalogs, pricing details). Assist in nurturing prospects through regular follow-ups and by sharing relevant updates (like new product offerings or festive catalogs).
Sales Presentations & Proposals : Work with the Sales Manager to prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients. This includes customizing pitch decks, drafting proposal documents or emails, and ensuring all client requirements are captured. You may sometimes participate in client meetings or calls alongside the manager, taking notes and addressing basic questions.
Sales Process Management : Manage the sales pipeline and CRM records, ensuring all leads, contacts, and activities are up to date. Track the status of each deal (e.g., proposal sent, awaiting approval, in negotiation) and remind the Sales Manager of follow-up actions as needed. Essentially, keep the sales process organized and moving forward.
Order Coordination : Once a deal is closed, coordinate with the Operations team and the client for any necessary details (e.g., gathering artwork for logo printing, confirming delivery addresses and dates). Ensure that all internal stakeholders have the information needed to fulfill the order correctly. For repeat orders or reorders from existing clients, handle much of the coordination directly.
Target Achievement : Meet or exceed individual KPIs that contribute to the team's sales goals. These may include metrics like number of qualified leads generated, meetings set up per week, or a portion of the revenue target. Assist the Sales Manager in hitting overall SBU3 revenue targets by maintaining a steady flow of opportunities.
Market & Client Feedback : Gather feedback from conversations with clients or prospects regarding their gifting needs, budget constraints, and any objections. Share these insights with the Sales Manager to refine sales strategies or improve our offerings. Also, stay informed about competitors or alternative solutions the clients mention, to better position Suspire's services.
Qualifications & Skills :
Education : Bachelor's degree (any field). A focus in business, marketing, or communications is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience : 1–3 years of experience in sales or business development, particularly in a B2B context. Experience in corporate gifting, corporate services, or selling to businesses is nice-to-have but not required. What's most important is a proven ability to communicate with clients and a drive to sell.
Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Confidence in cold calling and networking with corporate professionals. Good written communication for crafting emails and proposals. Should be a good listener to understand client needs and an articulate speaker to convey solutions.
Sales Fundamentals : Strong understanding of basic sales techniques, prospecting, relationship-building, needs analysis, objection handling, closing. You should be highly motivated and goal-oriented, with a mindset geared towards exceeding targets. Some experience with consultative selling or solution selling will help in tailoring pitches to each client.
Organizational Skills : High level of organization to manage many leads and tasks. Ability to prioritize effectively (for example, balancing time between nurturing warm leads vs. hunting new ones). Familiarity with using a CRM system or sales tracking spreadsheet is expected for keeping track of pipeline.
Teamwork : A collaborative attitude. Willingness to learn from the Sales Manager and take direction, but also able to work independently on assigned tasks. Since you'll coordinate with marketing for collateral or with ops for order fulfillment, you should be able to work well cross-functionally.
Resilience & Adaptability : In B2B sales, rejection and delayed decisions are common, the ideal candidate must handle setbacks professionally and persistently pursue opportunities. Adaptability to adjust approach based on client feedback or new strategies from the manager.
Knowledge & Interest : Basic knowledge of corporate gifting trends or the broader gifting industry is a plus (e.g., popular corporate gift items, holiday gifting cycles in companies). Above all, an interest in sustainable products or mission-driven business will help you align with Suspire's brand story when talking to clients.
