Lead Estimator

The Lead Estimator Roads is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates tender submissions and bid documentation for road highway and infrastructure projects both India and Overseas project. The role requires strong analytical skills technical knowledge of civil construction and the ability to lead a team of estimators to ensure timely and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the preparation of cost estimates for road highway and infrastructure projects.

Review tender documents drawings and specifications to determine scope and requirements.

Perform quantity take-offs rate analysis and cost comparison using standard estimation tools and databases.

Coordinate with design procurement and project teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.

Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) material labor and equipment cost breakdowns.

Identify cost risks value engineering opportunities and potential savings.

Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Prepare and present final bid summaries to senior management for approval.

Lead and mentor junior estimators to maintain quality and consistency in estimates.

Support post-bid clarifications negotiations and handover to execution teams.

Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.

1015 years of experience in estimation and tendering for road / highway projects.

Strong understanding of road construction methods materials and market rates.

Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. Candy AutoCAD MS Excel).

Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Background :

Experience with EPC or Infrastructure companies.

Exposure to government and private tenders.

Knowledge of FIDIC / contract conditions and pricing strategies.

Required Skills :
