Role Summary :
The Sales Manager / AM - Sales is responsible for driving sales performance in a defined territory or customer segment, building strong relationships with clients (builders, architects, consultants), and ensuring alignment with organizational targets.
The role involves project-based selling, managing the sales lifecycle from lead generation to order closure, and coordinating with internal teams for execution.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Target Achievement :
- Meet and exceed monthly / quarterly / annual sales targets for elevators and escalators.
- Track pipeline and forecast sales performance.
Client Relationship Management :
Build and maintain relationships with builders, consultants, architects, PMC firms, and facility managers.Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.Lead Generation & Business Development :
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial segments.Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events.Quotation & Negotiation :
Prepare technical-commercial proposals in coordination with design & estimation teams.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions.Project Handover Coordination :
Work closely with execution, design, and installation teams to ensure smooth order processing and handover.Reporting & Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales data, pipeline status.Submit regular MIS, market feedback, and competitor analysis reports.Market Intelligence :
Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, and project developments in the market.Qualifications & Skills Required :
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, Marketing, or Business).3-7 years of experience in B2B / project sales (elevator / lift or construction industry preferred).Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of elevator product specifications and relevant industry regulations (preferred).Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and reporting.(ref : iimjobs.com)
