B. About Your Role
We are looking for an AVP / VP – Human Resources to join our Human Capital Management & Innovation team. In this role, you will lead and shape our HR strategy, driving scalable growth, performance excellence, and a strong people-first culture across the organization. You’ll play a pivotal role in building systems, processes, and teams that can thrive through every phase of a fast-growing startup journey.

C. Key Responsibilities
1.Strategic People Leadership
- Design and execute the overall people strategy to drive organizational growth, strengthen culture, and enhance performance excellence.
- Partner with the leadership team to align people initiatives with business goals and long-term scalability.
2.Talent Acquisition
Lead end-to-end recruitment across tech and non-tech roles to attract and onboard high-caliber talent aligned with organizational needs.Leverage startup ecosystem networks to proactively identify and topgrade top-performing candidates.3.Hiring for Growth
Build and optimize scalable hiring processes to ensure speed, quality, and consistency across high-volume hiring phases.Plan and forecast future talent needs to maintain a strong pipeline that supports ongoing business expansion.4.Performance Management
Design and implement performance management systems, KPIs, and OKRs to align individual growth with company objectives.Develop rewards and recognition frameworks to motivate, retain, and reinforce high performance across teams.5.Culture & Engagement
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and feedback to promote engagement, innovation, and accountability.Implement initiatives and feedback loops to strengthen leadership alignment and employee satisfaction.6.HR Business Partnering
Partner with cross-functional leaders to provide insights on org design, role structuring, and workforce planning.Coach managers to enhance leadership effectiveness, resolve conflicts, and improve team performance.7.Leadership Advisory
Advise founders and senior leaders on organization design, succession planning, and talent branding.Collaborate with leadership to integrate people strategy into key business decisions and initiatives.8.Growth-Stage Readiness
Build and scale people systems and programs to support the company’s transition from early-stage chaos to structured growth.Lead capability-building and internal mobility initiatives to nurture leadership readiness and sustain long-term growth.D. Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
B. Tech / BCA with an MBA in HR or Organizational Behaviour.Experience
Minimum 6 years in the technology domain, with at least 2 of the last 4 years spent at an early-stage or high-growth Indian startup. Ideally a startup that has successfully moved from 0 to 1 and into the first revenue or growth phase.Proven record of managing the entire growth curve - from early-stage hiring and cultural formation to scale-up and performance-driven alignment.Strong connections and visibility in the startup ecosystem with proven ability to utilize that network for Topgrading.Essential technical skills
Performance Management Expertise : Deep understanding of KPI design, rewards frameworks, and performance management systems tailored for fast-scaling tech environments.Growth-Stage Exposure : Proven record of managing the entire growth curve - from early-stage hiring and cultural formation to scale-up and performance-driven alignment.Mindset : Ambitious, execution-oriented, and entrepreneurial - not someone seeking comfort or stability. Should be able to act as a strategic counterpart to leadership, not just mentally confined to HR realms.Role Orientation : Expected to play an active role in overall organizational growth, including cross-functional initiatives, talent brand positioning, and leadership advisory.Preferred but not mandatory
