Infrastructure Engineer CDK for Terraform (TypeScript) Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in CDK for Terraform (CDKTF) using TypeScript to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. You will leverage modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to create reusable TypeScript constructs, automate deployments, and collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure secure and reliable infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in TypeScript programming and Terraform core concepts , with a pragmatic approach to infrastructure automation in fast-paced cloud environments.

What You'll Do (Day-to-Day)

Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code projects using CDK for Terraform (CDKTF) with TypeScript.

Write modular and reusable TypeScript constructs representing Terraform resources and modules.

Manage Terraform state and lifecycle effectively within CDKTF projects.

Run Terraform CLI workflows : terraform init, terraform validate, terraform plan, and terraform apply.

Write unit tests with Jest to validate CDKTF constructs and configurations.

Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to deliver automated, reliable, and scalable infrastructure.

Troubleshoot issues related to Terraform state, drift, and failed deployments .

Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure code, workflows, and deployment processes.

Stay up to date with the latest improvements in the Terraform and CDKTF ecosystem .

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

Strong proficiency with CDK for Terraform (CDKTF) using TypeScript.

Solid knowledge of TypeScript fundamentals : interfaces, classes, modules, and typing.

Hands-on experience writing Terraform configurations programmatically via TypeScript in CDKTF.

Strong understanding of Terraform core concepts : state management, modules, and providers.

Experience writing and debugging unit tests with Jest .

Proficiency with Terraform CLI commands (init, validate, plan, apply).

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code best practices and automation workflows.

Ability to troubleshoot Terraform state and lifecycle issues .

Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure provisioning and the Terraform ecosystem.
