Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Pulumi (TypeScript) Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Pulumi using TypeScript to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure. You will leverage modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to create reusable infrastructure components, automate deployments, and manage stack lifecycles across multiple cloud environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate infrastructure requirements into maintainable Pulumi projects, ensuring modularity, automation, and bestpractices. This role also involves troubleshooting deployment issues, optimizing stack management, and integrating infrastructure workflows into CI pipelines for fast,reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using Pulumi with TypeScript .

Create reusable TypeScript abstractions and components for infrastructure resources.

Manage deployments and lifecycle with Pulumi CLI commands : pulumi up, pulumi preview, pulumi destroy.

Handle stack state management and retrieve stack outputs for application integration.

Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Jest or Mocha .

Troubleshoot and debug deployment issues using logs and Pulumi diagnostics tools.

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to improve infrastructure code and automation pipelines.

Requirements

Proficiency in Pulumi using TypeScript SDK .

Strong skills in writing infrastructure code and abstractions with TypeScript.

Hands-on experience with Pulumi CLI : pulumi up, pulumi preview, pulumi destroy.

Understanding of Pulumi stack states and outputs management .

Experience writing unit and integration tests with Jest or Mocha .

Ability to debug infrastructure code and deployments using TypeScript and Pulumi tools.

Offer Details

Commitments : Minimum 20 / 30 / 40 hours per week with at least 4 hours overlap with PST .

Employment Type : Contractor (no medical or paid leave).
