Investment Accountant

Role Summary : This is a position within the JV Finance Team based in India, enabling the development of technical expertise and business insight in a fast-paced finance team. As an Investment Accountant, the role involves supporting the Finance manager and wider finance team in investment accounting across the UK operating property portfolios. The position requires close collaboration with Europe Finance teams, QX team, and interaction with auditors.Key Role Responsibilities : Preparation of month-end and quarter-end reporting packs and year-end reporting activities for holding & Propco entities, including reports and supporting schedules for all balance sheet line items and commentary on profit and loss line items.Quarterly consolidations across multi-property portfolios in residential special purpose vehicles.Preparation / review of accruals, prepayments, and posting of journal entries.Preparation of quarterly lender reporting including cash waterfalls, compliance certificates and covenant calculations.Assist in preparing the investor reporting.Preparation of consolidated audited financial statements within investor and lender reporting deadlines, for residential portfolios.Preparation of subsidiary financial statements and supporting schedules for residential portfolios.Assist / manage key audit components and requirements.Calculation of investment level management fees.Review of quarterly VAT Returns and assistance in providing information for annual Tax Computations for subsidiaries.Key Relationships : Finance Manager (Line Manager)Financial Controller,Finance Director, JVsService providers (QX, Apex)Knowledge & Qualifications : Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).5 years of post-qualification experience in the real estate sector is desirable.Previous experience in financial accounting software (Yardi experience is a benefit).Excellent written and numerical skills.Thorough understanding of accounting policies and procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience & Skills : Sound knowledge of Accounting GAAPs, IFRS and AuditDebt compliance and investor reporting experienceGood communicator with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial dataPositive “can do” attitude with desire to learn, train and develop in the roleExcellent attention to detail, methodical and takes pride in workSelf-starter who takes initiative to grow within the roleStrong time management skills to organize a multitude of concurrent tasksExperience working within the Real Estate sectorExperience working with off-shore real estate structuresBehaviours & Values : Integrity - We will stay true to the highest ethical standards and principles, and be honest, trustworthy, and humble in all of our words and actions.Equality - We celebrate individual difference, encourage diversity of thought, provide of equality of opportunity, and cultivate an environment where all individuals are seen, treated, and valued equally.Accountability - We will take responsibility and accept ownership for our words, actions, tasks, and results, and respectfully hold others to the same standard.Professionalism - We will proudly present a positive, dignified, and business-like image at all times through our appearance, behaviour, and interactions with others.Teamwork - We will work together to accomplish goals, solve problems, and enrich our work environment.Service - We will make service our top priority by giving our time, knowledge, and experience to serve the needs of our customers, community, and team members.
