Sales Application Engineer - Switchgears

Job descriptionEngage with clients, consultants, contractors, and EPC firms to understand their needs. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions. Respond to technical queries and resolve issues during the sales cycle. Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure product feasibility and timely delivery. Support bid preparation and tender documentation with technical inputs. Track project progress and coordinate with customers for smooth execution. Keep updated with the latest switchgear technologies, industry standards, and competitor products. Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer inputs. Assist in training sales and service teams on product features and applications. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Certifications in switchgear or electrical systems are a plus 3–7 years in sales engineering, application engineering, or technical sales related to switchgear or electrical distribution equipment Experience with medium and low voltage switchgear products preferred Strong technical knowledge of switchgear types (e.g., Air Circuit Breakers, Vacuum Circuit Breakers, MCCBs, RMUs) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications Customer-focused approach with strong negotiation skills Proficient in MS Office and CRM software

- Understand customer specifications, project requirements, and application needs for switchgear products.
- Provide technical guidance and product recommendations to customers and sales teams.
- Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, quotations, and product documentation.
