We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Assistant Sales Manager to drive sales growth and increase market share in an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial B2B sales and a strong ability to manage customer relationships, meet sales targets, and coordinate with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires significant travel and a willingness to relocate across India based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Target Achievement : You will be accountable for meeting monthly targets on orders and shipments, as well as quarterly targets for your opportunity pipeline. This includes driving value selling and implementing strategies to increase product prices and improve margins.
- Customer Management : Manage all aspects of customer relationships, from understanding their needs and offering correct solutions to ensuring their satisfaction through sales and service support. You will be the single point of contact for customer coordination.
- Process & Documentation : Prepare and maintain all sales documentation, including the Sales Funnel and Client Profile , and ensure all sales parameters are updated in the CRM system.
- Coordination : Work closely with supply chain and service teams to ensure orders are fulfilled and payments are collected on time. You will also monitor and analyze competitor activities in your territory.
- Travel : This role requires approximately 75% travel to meet weekly customer visit and opportunity creation targets.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience : An Engineering Graduate or Post Graduate with a minimum of 7 years of sales and business development experience in industrial product selling. A total of 7 to 10 years of industrial B2B selling experience is required.Industry Experience : Prior experience working with customers from the Power, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Food & Beverages, Pharma, and EPC sectors is an added advantage.Skills :Excellent presentation skills and competence in MS Office .Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent EQ (Emotional Quotient) and strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships.Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new ideas and concepts.A proactive and action-oriented mindset.Work Environment : Adaptability to the company's sales processes and CRM standard work.
