Key Responsibilities
Book international flights via GDS systems like Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
Expertly handle flight reissues, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with diverse airline fare rules and policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex travel-related issues, such as flight cancellations, delays, and schedule changes, often under pressure.
Provide up-to-date and accurate information on airline alliances (e.g., Star Alliance, Oneworld), airline regulations, visa requirements, and relevant geographical factors affecting travel.
Advise clients on the most efficient and cost-effective routing, considering alternative airports, flight options, and preferred vendors.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, travel bookings, and payments.
Communicate with clients effectively through multiple channels (phone, email) to provide travel options, policy guidance, and exceptional customer service.
Required Skill Set
GDS Proficiency : In-depth, recent working knowledge and hands-on experience with a major Global Distribution System (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo).
Fares and Ticketing Expertise : A strong understanding of ticketing, fare rules, taxes, and complex fare construction for international travel.
Airline Systems Knowledge : Familiarity with major airline alliances and their routing benefits, as well as airline-specific policies for reissues, exchanges, and refunds.
Geographical Expertise : Extensive knowledge of world geography, including major cities, airport codes, and travel logistics in various international regions.
Booking and Reservation Software : Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and internal travel management tools.
Attention to Detail : Meticulous planning and organizational skills are crucial to avoid costly errors in complex itineraries.
Problem-Solving : Decisive and successful problem-solving skills to navigate unexpected travel disruptions.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively relay complex travel information to corporate clients.
Customer Service : The ability to listen, empathize, and maintain composure while providing superior customer service to VIP clients.
