ROLE

Level : Consultant

As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work product within due timelines in agile framework. On requirement basis consultants will be mentoring and / or directing junior team members / liaising with onsite / offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The DBA will ensure the security, performance, and availability of data while supporting business needs and ensuring compliance with industry best practices. This role involves collaboration with IT, development teams, and stakeholders to design and implement robust database solutions.

The work you will do includes :

• Proactively oversee production databases to ensure their optimal performance, reliability, and high availability.
• Implement and manage advanced backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.
• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient data models and schemas.
• Offer expert DBA support and advice for both critical and non-critical applications.
• Optimize complex database queries and indexing to improve performance, query response times, and efficiency.
• Develop scripts and utilities to automate routine database tasks, improving efficiency.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Implement database security measures and vulnerability remediation.
• Adhere to established process standards and best practices for database management.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Quickly address and resolve database incidents, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Implement Disaster recovery and scaling strategies.
• Guide and mentor junior team members to fix day to day issues.

Bachelor-level degree in engineering, IT, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent educational or professional experience and / or qualifications

The team

CBO practitioners work on design, delivery, and support of a variety of solutions that help our clients meet business objectives. These solutions range from large-scale ground-up custom developed applications to cloud-based development and integration services and customizing industry sector-focused packages. As an Analyst / Consultant hire on this team, you will be tasked with working on appropriately assigned technology platform, project management or functional roles based on your experience along with adjacent area technologies.
