Job description

Job Title : IT Hardware Sales Executive / Manager (Government Sector)

Location : Delhi / NCR

Experience Required : 4 to 5 Years

Industry : IT / Hardware Sales (Government & PSU Sector)

Budget – 8lpa to 10lpa

About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented IT Hardware Sales Professional to drive business growth in the Government and PSU sector. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling government accounts, knowledge of tendering processes, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets for IT hardware products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities with Government Departments, PSUs, and Educational Institutions.
  • Handle the complete sales cycle — from lead generation and RFP / RFQ response to closure and post-sales coordination.
  • Maintain strong relationships with procurement officials, system integrators, and OEM partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, technical support, and timely delivery of products.
  • Understand government procurement portals (e.g., GeM, CPPP) and tender documentation.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer databases.
  • Stay up to date with new government projects, IT procurement trends, and vendor empanelments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science / Electronics; MBA
  • 4–5 years of experience in IT hardware sales, preferably in the government sector.
  • Strong understanding of servers, storage, networking, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with OEMs like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, HPE, etc.
  • Good knowledge of government tendering, empanelment, and rate contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

  • Achievement of assigned sales targets.
  • Number of new government accounts acquired.
  • Tender participation and success rate.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention levels.
  • Revenue growth from existing accounts.
