Key Responsibilities :

Primary – Oracle DBA :

Design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle 12c / 19c / 21c environments in production and non-production.Set up and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions using

Oracle RAC

and

Data Guard

• .Conduct in-depth

performance tuning

SQL optimization

, and

database health checks

RMAN

Data Pump

, and custom scripts.Automate administrative tasks and operational procedures using

Shell scripting

PL / SQL

, or

Python

Secondary – DB2 DBA :

Perform

installation, maintenance, and patching

of DB2 databases (LUW or z / OS).Support performance tuning, database monitoring, and capacity planning in DB2 environments.Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot DB2-related issues.Assist in backup / restore operations, and database scripting.

Required Skills & Experience :

8–10 years of total experience in database administration.Minimum

6+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle DBA

in production environments.Minimum

2+ years of hands-on DB2 DBA experience

(LUW ).Deep knowledge of Oracle internals, ASM, RMAN, AWR / ASH reports, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and database cloning.Strong command over scripting (Shell, Python, or PL / SQL) for automation.Working knowledge of DB2 command-line tools, performance tuning, and monitoring utilities.Proven ability to support large-scale enterprise database environments.Good understanding of ITIL processes and change management.

Preferred Qualifications : Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

– a strong plus.

IBM DB2 Certification

– preferred.Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure Database for Oracle / DB2).Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or JIRA.
