Opening for GM Business Development (Hotels) with Club Mahindra in Role :
This role will be responsible for Strategic Partnership and Business Development in hospitality space to identify and onboard new properties (hotels / resorts) to increase Club Mahindra's inventory.
Job Responsibilities :
- The General Manager will be required to manage / handle key owner relationships, deal negotiations and closures for assets spread across business models such as lease, acquisition etc.
- Responsible for the overall achievement of annual targets for the vertical as prescribed by the Board.
- Prepare and monitor the budget and allocation of targets and key responsibilities.
- Work with the Vice President and the CBO to define the country / region growth and development strategy. Lead, influence, and mentor the team to perform individually and collectively.
- Identify and document risk items for each Business Case being handled, including at an individual property level and at a Country level.
- Analyze, evaluate, and rank overall risk exposure, including technical, financial, and human resources.
- Develop and actively lead the risk mitigation measures to ensure that the business cases are secured to meet profit and turnover targets.
- Negotiate and prepare JV Contracts and Shareholder Agreements, including associated land sale and purchase agreements, lease negotiations, zoning rights and corporate governance procedures.
- Lead key concept definition, design brief, project brief, cost estimation and budgeting activities for hotel projects that are being handled with the help of Project Management and other functions within the Company.
- Have strong sourcing capabilities for resorts / hotels and have a network of industry intermediaries, brokers, real estate companies and developers.
- Interface with external parties, property owners including property consultants, real estate companies / developers / Owners, Govt. officials etc. to identify deals, conduct due diligence, valuation work etc.
Capability & Competencies :
The ideal candidate must have / be able to :
Masters in Business Administration or other post-graduate degrees in finance or accounting degree15+ years of experience in areas such as private equity, investment banking, management consulting, real estate investment management or real estate or Hotel developmentTeam management and presentation skills.Experience in real estate valuation and investment management.10+ experience in investment / development of Hotels / Resorts.Expertise in financial modelling and analysis.Some operational experience in hotels / hospitality will be an advantage.(ref : iimjobs.com)
