Job Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Wedding Decor Manager located in LUDHIANA . The Wedding Decor Manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of wedding decoration, including theme design and planning, design execution, vendor coordination, and on-site management. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their vision and translating it into a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing decor plan. The manager is expected to ensure the highest standards of quality and creativity in every project.
A. Client Consultation and Conceptualization :
- Initial Client Meetings : Meeting with prospective wedding clients (often couples and their families) to understand their vision, preferences, style, budget, and any specific cultural or regional requirements prevalent in Ludhiana weddings.
- Vision Development : Asking probing questions and actively listening to clients to translate their abstract ideas into concrete decor concepts.
- Theme and Style Identification : Helping clients define or refine their wedding theme and overall style (e.g., traditional Punjabi, modern, rustic, floral-focused).
- Budget Discussion : Understanding the client's budget for decor and working within those constraints to propose feasible and impactful designs.
- Venue Assessment : Visiting the wedding venue(s) in and around Ludhiana to assess the space, lighting conditions, existing features, and potential challenges and opportunities for decor.
- Mood Board and Visual Concept Creation : Developing mood boards, sketches, and potentially digital visualizations (using software) to present design ideas and material palettes to clients.
B. Design and Planning :
Detailed Decor Planning : Creating comprehensive decor plans that outline all elements, including floral arrangements, stage design, entrance decor, table settings, lighting, draping, furniture, props, and any custom-designed elements.Material Selection and Sourcing : Researching and selecting appropriate decor materials, considering factors like aesthetics, durability, cost, and availability from local Ludhiana vendors and suppliers.Vendor Coordination : Liaising with various vendors such as florists, lighting technicians, furniture rental companies, and fabricators, potentially local to Ludhiana, to source materials and services according to the design plan.Custom Design Development : Designing and overseeing the creation of custom decor elements, such as backdrops, signage, or personalized props.Floor Plan and Layout Design : Creating detailed floor plans indicating the placement of all decor elements to optimize space and flow within the venue.Lighting Design Planning : Developing lighting plans that enhance the ambiance and highlight key decor features.Budget Management and Tracking : Maintaining a detailed budget for all decor elements and tracking expenses to ensure adherence to the client's budget.Timeline Creation : Developing a timeline for decor setup and breakdown, coordinating with the overall wedding timeline.Element Sheet Creation : - Compile different products like props, florals, structures etc and its quantity required for each element as per the design finalized.C. Execution and On-site Management :
Vendor Management and Coordination : Overseeing the work of decor vendors during setup to ensure they adhere to the design plan and quality standards.On-site Decor Setup : Being present and actively involved during the decor setup at the wedding venue, ensuring all elements are placed correctly and according to the plan.Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting : Addressing any unexpected issues or challenges that may arise during the setup process, often requiring quick and creative solutions.Quality Control : Ensuring that all decor elements meet the agreed-upon standards and are visually appealing.Coordination with Wedding Planning Team : Collaborating closely with the wedding planners to ensure seamless integration of the decor with other aspects of the wedding.Client Communication During Setup : Keeping the clients informed of the progress and addressing any last-minute requests or concerns.Post-Event Breakdown Coordination : Overseeing or coordinating the breakdown and removal of decor elements from the venue.Qualifications
