About Our Client :

A digital freight brokerage platform that connects truckers and transporters across India, streamlining the logistics process by enabling direct, efficient, and transparent freight transactions. The platform leverages technology to match logistics demand and supply, helping fleet owners and logistics companies find and book loads easily, reducing reliance on middlemen and ensuring on-time payments and reliable service. Operating on an asset-light model, it serves over 1,200 transporters and 5,000 fleet owners, focusing on increasing operational efficiency and profitability through features like truck discovery, load matching, and route optimization.

Role Summary :

Owns the acquisitions engine that delivers inorganic growth-building a nationwide deal pipeline, shaping investment theses, negotiating transactions, and handing over integrated, value-accretive business to operations.

Key Responsibilities :

A. Target Identification & Pipeline Management :

Build and refresh a database of 5000 domestic freight brokers, apply multi-factor scoring to priorities 250-300 high potential targets.

Track adjacent segment (GPS solution, payment solutions, TMS platforms, used vehicle marketplace, supply chain financing platforms, etc) with bankers and sector specialist.

B. Deal Organisation & Evaluation :

Craft concise investment memos covering market position, revenue-lift potential, cost-synergy levers, and integration complexity.

Lead commercial, financial, operational, and legal due diligence using internal SMEs and external experts.

C. Negotiation & Execution :

Structure offers (cash, equity, earn-outs) and valuation models aligned with board-approved SOPs.

Drive term-sheet, SPA, and closing processes while ensuring regulatory compliance and secure funding packages.

D. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management :

Cultivate relationships with founders, promoters, brokers, bankers, and PE / VC funds to maintain a proprietary deal funnel.

Present monthly pipeline dashboards and post-close performance updates to the Board Investment Committee.
