We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer with a strong engineering consulting background to join our team in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in mechanical engineering, with a focus on providing innovative solutions for complex manufacturing systems. This senior leadership role will require the individual to work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, regulatory-compliant engineering solutions in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering design for large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, including HVAC, utilities, cleanroom systems, and mechanical systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams, ensuring best practices are followed and engineering solutions meet client specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process, Electrical, Automation, etc.) to deliver integrated and optimized solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for mechanical systems in pharmaceutical plants.
- Oversee the development and review of engineering documentation, including system specifications, P&IDs, drawings, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), regulatory standards, and safety protocols throughout all phases of design and implementation.
- Drive innovation by evaluating new mechanical technologies and proposing improvements for existing systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and optimization of existing mechanical systems to improve efficiency and performance.
- Manage the preparation and review of project deliverables, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Interface with clients to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and ensure the alignment of project goals with client expectations.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience :13-22 years of mechanical engineering experience, with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.At least 5 years of experience in engineering consulting, leading large-scale projects and managing client relationships.Skills Required
