Modi Naturals - Assistant Manager - Trading

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

• Commodity Trading : Execute and monitor trades for specific commodities, markets, or vendor / customer segments in domestic markets, particularly on a speculative basis.
• Contract Management : Reconcile, maintain, and follow up on contracts. Coordinate with vendors and brokers to ensure timely execution and closure of contracts.
• MIS Reporting : Prepare and circulate relevant MIS reports on parities, positions, and trading activities to the leadership team.
• Market Intelligence : Track customer and competitor activity, industry trends, and developments in the distillery and feed (NEDEX, Poultry Feed, STAR Agri) sectors. Analyze these insights to identify and convert opportunities.
• Problem-Solving : Independently manage moderately complex trading and operational issues, escalating only more complex matters to senior management.
• Project Assistance : Support the Trading Manager in identifying and evaluating short-term and long-term opportunities in specific agri-commodities.
• Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong formal and informal relationship networks both within and outside the organization.
• Business Acumen : Apply a strong understanding of business dynamics and market forces to help achieve organizational goals.
• Compliance : Ensure adherence to all legal and compliance frameworks relevant to commodity markets and trading activities.
• Other Duties : Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
