Job Title : Foundry Lab Spectro Inspector
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foundry Lab Spectro Inspector to join our quality control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing spectroscopic analysis on metal samples to determine their chemical composition. The goal is to ensure that our foundry products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Spectroscopic Analysis : Perform spectroscopic analysis (e.g., XRF, OES, ICP) on metal samples to determine their chemical composition.
- Sample Preparation : Prepare metal samples for spectroscopic analysis, including cutting, grinding, and polishing.
- Instrument Operation : Operate and maintain spectroscopic instruments, including calibration and troubleshooting.
- Data Analysis : Analyze spectroscopic data to determine the chemical composition of metal samples.
- Reporting : Generate reports on spectroscopic analysis results, including certification of compliance with industry standards.
- Quality Control : Monitor and control the quality of spectroscopic analysis results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Method Development : Participate in the development and validation of new spectroscopic methods and procedures.
- Training : Train junior staff members on spectroscopic analysis techniques and instrument operation.
- Safety : Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science.Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in spectroscopic analysis, preferably in a foundry or metallurgical laboratory.Certifications : Certifications in spectroscopic analysis (e.g., XRF, OES, ICP) are an asset.Instrumentation : Experience with spectroscopic instruments (e.g., XRF, OES, ICP) and software.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Communication : Excellent communication and reporting skills.Teamwork : Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Working Conditions
Laboratory Environment : Work in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals, metals, and instrumentation.Physical Demands : May require standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 kg).Safety Equipment : Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Salary And Benefits
