Senior Purchase Executive- ( Import)

Job descriptionEvaluate vendor capabilities, certifications, and compliance with international quality norms Monitor inventory levels of imported raw materials and spares Generate reorder plans based on consumption, lead times, and production schedules Coordinate with stores and production teams to ensure zero stockouts Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and freight costs with overseas vendors Track currency fluctuations, duty structures, and landed costs Maintain cost sheets and support budgeting for new product launches Handle all import documentation : LCs, Bill of Lading, Packing List, Invoice, COO, etc Ensure compliance with DGFT, FSSAI, BIS, and customs regulations Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners for smooth clearance Collaborate with R&D and product teams to source new materials for upcoming SKUs Procure samples and trial quantities for lab testing and pilot production Ensure all materials meet baby safety certifications and regulatory standards Maintain records in ERP systems for purchase orders, GRNs, and vendor performance Generate monthly reports on import status, cost trends, and supplier KPIs Support audits and documentation for ISO, internal controls, and sustainability goals Strong knowledge of global sourcing, import regulations, and customs procedures Familiarity with baby product safety standards and material certifications Proficiency in Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple suppliers, tight timelines, and cross-functional coordination Mediclaim for employee along with spouse and child (upto 2) Personal accidental Insurance of employee No sandwich leave policy flexible working hours Performance Bonus to Best performers in every quarter Paid Maternal & Paternal leaves Yearly performance appraisal All perks and Leaves are given from the day of joining , no restrictions during probation period Fun employee engagement activities every month CSR activities done on monthly basis Employee Birthday and Work Anniversary Celebrations Employee friendly culture to encourage good work life balance

Job Title – Senior Purchase Executive (Import)
Working days and timings - 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM (2nd & 4th Saturday off)
Location – Ahmedabad
Experience : 5-7 years experience in import buying / global sourcing / international sourcing
Qualification - Any graduate
