Description :

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions.
This candidate should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner.
This individual will also meet with customer representatives frequently in order to understand required content.

Core Responsibilities :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Support, to gather information and understand product features and functionality.

Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and other instructional materials.

Ensure documentation accuracy, clarity, and consistency, adhering to company and industry standards.

Regularly update and improve existing documentation to reflect product updates and changes.

Perform quality assurance on documentation to verify accuracy and usability.

Manage and maintain a knowledge base, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and readily accessible to both customers and internal stakeholders.

Contribute to the development of templates, style guides, and best practices for documentation.

Work closely with Product Management and Development teams to stay informed about upcoming product changes and releases.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., English, Technical Communication, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the technology or software industry.

Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe FrameMaker, or Markdown.

Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools.

Basic understanding of software development, APIs, and web technologies.

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) concepts is a plus.
