Program Specialist II (Business Analyst)

As a Business Analysis Expert with Engineering Functional Expertise & Other Function Expertise here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and enhancing productivity through data-driven insights and strategic analysis.

You will report directly to our Program Manager and you’ll work out of our India location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by generating and maintaining comprehensive operational reports, analyzing data to identify trends, and providing actionable insights that inform strategic initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Run Operational Reports : Generate and maintain comprehensive operational reports for various projects and engineering productivity metrics. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to support decision-making processes.

Analyze and Highlight Insights : Conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic initiatives. Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with engineering and other functional teams to gather requirements, understand processes, and identify areas for improvement.

Support Program Management : Assist the Program Manager in tracking project progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions to ensure project success.

Continuous Improvement : Drive initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity across projects. Recommend the best practices and innovative solutions based on data analysis.

MAJOR KPIs

Data-Driven Decision Making : Ensure that all decisions are supported by robust data analysis and insights, leading to improved project outcomes and resource allocation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : Establish and monitor relevant KPIs such as project completion rates, engineering productivity metrics, and resource utilization rates to measure project performance and operational efficiency.

Identify Gaps : Proactively identify gaps in processes and performance metrics, such as discrepancies between projected and actual outcomes, and recommend actionable solutions to bridge these gaps.

Reporting and Process Streamlining : Develop and implement standardized reporting mechanisms that facilitate transparency and accountability, ensuring that stakeholders are informed of project status and performance metrics.

Productivity Enhancement : Focus on initiatives that drive productivity improvements across engineering and project management functions, such as reducing cycle times, improving resource allocation, and enhancing workflow efficiency.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in technical and analytical principles.

8+ years of proven experience in business analysis, preferably within an engineering or technical environment, demonstrating the ability to translate business needs into actionable analysis.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights, including proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.

Proficiency in data visualization tools and reporting software, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, to effectively communicate findings and support decision-making.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across diverse audiences.

Experience in project management methodologies and tools, enabling effective tracking and reporting of project progress and performance.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
