We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Data Team at Mercer. He / she will be an experienced investment data professional with specialist knowledge of investment and accounting books of record
Associate Director - Investment Management
We will count you to :
Drive the delivery and operational support for key investment data domains including accounting book of record and investment book of record
Collaborate with data solutions and operations leadership to define and enhance the control environment for operational investment data.
Ensure there is detailed support documentation that aligns closely with operations business requirements, data mappings, dependencies, data definitions, specifications, and business processes including performance data flows
Build, manage, lead, and grow a dedicated high-performance investment operations data support team
Develop and implement scalable investment operations data support capabilities with a metrics-driven operations model, ensuring adherence to data ownership, quality, accuracy, and timeliness principles
Manage stakeholder expectations through effective project management
Pro-actively problem solve in collaboration with global stakeholders
What you need to have
Relevant experience gained at investment managers and / or service providers to investment management firms
Extensive experience leading teams managing core investment data domains, including team building, organizational development, process management, vendor management, SLA oversight, and metrics-driven support delivery
Experience driving the adoption of standardized processes, templates, and best practices by investment operations teams
Thorough understanding of ABOR / IBOR domains including positions / holdings, transactions, pricing and general ledger
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
Thought leadership in designing investment data capabilities across front-office, middle-office, and back-office workflows
Hands-on experience managing data pipelines and analytics for diverse financial market data sets and multiple asset classes
Solid conceptual understanding of investment management processes, financial markets, portfolio management, reporting, and monitoring
Demonstrable knowledge of front, middle, and back-office functions within investment management
Experience integrating disparate investment data ecosystems, data models, and analytics pipelines to support complex performance measurement workflows
