Role Summary
The Area Business Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the strategic business expansion across a defined geographical territory within the FinTech / Payments industry.
This leader will be the primary driver of revenue growth, tasked with architecting strategies to capture the full Corporate Business and MSME ecosystem opportunity.
The role demands exceptional Result Driven performance, requiring the incumbent to build, originate, and grow a quality corporate business book leveraging expertise in Supply Chain Finance, Working Capital products, and Term Loan solutions.
Roles & Business Architecture & Ecosystem Capture :
- Architect the strategy and execute plans to effectively tap the entire ecosystem opportunity across both established Corporate Business clients and rapidly growing MSMEs within the assigned area.
- Engage directly and persuasively with senior stakeholders (C-level and Treasury) at prospective and existing corporate clients to position the platform's financial solutions.
- Drive sales by focusing on new customer acquisition, significantly growing the overall book size, and delivering measurable results toward the strategic overall revenue growth targets for the area.
Relationship Origination & Product Coverage :
Take full responsibility for the identification, development, and origination of new relationships across the entire gamut of financial products offered by the platform.Spearhead business generation and be directly responsible for acquiring new, high-quality corporate business, specifically utilizing expertise in products like Supply Chain Finance, Working Capital solutions, and Term Loan products.Prospect potential clients using various direct sales methods, professional networking, and in-depth market research to build a robust sales pipeline.Operational Alignment & Compliance :
Work closely and constructively with the product, operations, and service teams to promptly and effectively address all operational and service queries, ensuring high client satisfaction.Act as the subject matter expert on Demand and Supply dynamics within the corporate client base, ensuring the platform's product offerings meet genuine market needs.Maintain strict adherence to all internal controls, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines, demonstrating a core commitment to Rule following.Leadership & Reporting :
Accountable for Delivering Results and providing accurate, timely reports on area sales performance, pipeline health, and strategic achievements to executive leadership.Required Key Skills
Area Management : Proven experience as an Area Business Manager, Area Head, or Territory Manager with a verifiable track record of achieving large-scale sales targets.FinTech / Payments Domain : Strong working knowledge of the FinTech / Payments ecosystem and experience selling technology-driven financial solutions.Corporate & MSME Finance : Deep functional and sales expertise in financial products including Supply Chain Finance, Working Capital solutions, and structured Term Loan financing.Sales & Origination : Exceptional ability in originating new corporate relationships, high-value client acquisition, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle.Communication & Negotiation : Superior Communication Skills required for effective engagement with senior client stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.Result Driven : Demonstrable history as a Result Driven leader, with a focus on executing complex strategies and ensuring compliance.Preferred Skills
Previous experience in a specialized financial institution focusing on B2B lending or supply chain solutions.Strong network within the corporate treasury, procurement, or finance departments in the Bangalore region.Certification in advanced sales management or finance-related fields.Technical familiarity with CRM systems (e., Salesforce) for pipeline management and reporting.
