Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Test Automation Engineer to drive our end-to-end (E2E) test automation initiatives and ensure the quality of our product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will take ownership of automation strategy, frameworks, and execution, ensuring seamless integration into the CI / CD pipeline. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable scalable, reliable, and high-performance automated testing solutions.Automation Strategy & Leadership : Define and drive the test automation roadmap for E2E systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and development cycles. Select and implement the right tools and frameworks for automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress or others). Framework Development : Build, maintain, and enhance scalable and reusable test automation frameworks to support functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. Implement automation strategies for testing complex systems, simulators, and integrations. E2E Business Testing Lead / Coordination : Understand the business process and different products Ensure the automation framework supports end-to-end workflows, including scenarios involving simulators, APIs, and UIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, DevOps, Business Analysts, Product Owners) to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria. CI / CD Pipeline Integration : Ensure all automated tests are integrated with CI / CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and reporting. Drive automation for regression testing to ensure timely delivery of releases. Team Collaboration & Mentorship : Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the QA team on automation best practices. Lead defect triage meetings to drive quality metrics and ensure root cause analysis for critical issues. Quality Assurance : Conduct code reviews for automated tests and ensure test coverage, scalability, and reliability. Advocate for quality assurance standards and ensure adherence to testing guidelines. Performance Metrics : Define and track key quality metrics, including automation coverage, defect density, and test execution efficiency. Generate regular test reports for stakeholders, summarizing progress and quality status. Problem Solving : Address challenges in automating complex use cases, such as postal locker systems, by leveraging simulators and APIs. Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues in the automation scripts and testing environments. Experience in working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes for testing containerized applications. Experience with AI / ML-based test automation tools is a plus. Key Attributes : Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Travel : Short term business travel to Belgium HQ, as needed.
