We are seeking a thorough, analytical, and proactive PU Supply Network Inventory Planner to lead inventory policies and strategies across our Performance Units (PUs). This role is responsible for ensuring that supply planners adopt the correct inventory strategy-covering stock segmentation, ongoing safety stock refreshes, stock-coverage management, excess-inventory prevention, and the execution of a PU-level inventory efficiency roadmap.
Working through our global digital planning system, Kinaxis Maestro, the PU Supply Network Inventory Planner will own the end-to-end inventory strategy for the PU across both Finished Goods and Raw Materials. This position requires close collaboration with replenishment, production, and raw material planners to ensure planning parameters and strategies are updated, aligned, and rigorously executed.
The role will own the entire SLOBs (slow-moving and obsolete stock) management process-diagnosing root causes, addressing failures at source, and driving preventive measures. Success requires strong supply-planning experience, excellent analytical capability within Kinaxis Maestro, and the ability to work effectively with planning teams both in Pune and across global markets.
What You Will Deliver
1. Inventory Replenishment Strategy
- Develop and own the PU Inventory Strategy, aligning it with the Global Planning Playbook.
- Ensure inventory strategies are well-defined, reviewed, and approved with PU S&OP and Planning Delivery Leads, and effectively implemented with PU supply planners in Kinaxis Maestro.
- Lead the safety stock strategy-ensuring compliance with global requirements, assessing impacts, and securing approvals from key planning and market stakeholders.
- Own and maintain key inventory-planning master data in line with global governance (lead times, service levels, replenishment parameters, segmentation rules).
2. Inefficient Stock / SLOBs Management
Lead the analysis of SLOBs and high-coverage inventory to identify patterns, root causes, and systemic gaps.Work cross-functionally with replenishment planners, production planners, demand planners, and other partners to determine sell-off options and address root causes.Partner with Finance to evaluate provisions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.Own and drive the PU Inventory Efficiency Roadmap to deliver target Days of Cover (DOC) and overall inventory optimization.3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with the PU Supply Planning Delivery Lead, Production Planning, and Raw Material Planning teams to align inventory strategies with broader business objectives.Support the S&OP process by working with the PU S&OP Manager, providing insights into projected inventory, progress against the inventory roadmap, and SLOBs reduction actions.4. Systems & Reporting
