We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly qualified Manager - Accounts who holds both CA and CS certifications. The role requires a professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial records, adherence to regulatory requirements, and efficient coordination of company secretarial activities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and finalize financial statements as per applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS).
- Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Taxation & Compliance
Manage GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.Liaise with consultants and authorities for tax assessments, appeals, and other regulatory matters.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of amendments in taxation laws and accounting standards.Company Secretarial Functions
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013 and other applicable laws.Handle preparation and filing of ROC forms, board resolutions, annual returns, and other statutory documents.Assist in convening and documenting Board and General Meetings.Maintain statutory registers and records, and ensure timely filings and disclosures.Support the Board and management in governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Develop, review, and strengthen internal control systems and accounting processes.Ensure compliance with company policies and financial control frameworks.Contribute to automation initiatives and process efficiency improvements.Key Skills & Attributes
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, and corporate regulations.Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, or Oracle).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.Good communication and stakeholder management skills.High standards of integrity and professional ethics.Preferred Background
Experience in a mid-sized or large organization, preferably in a corporate accounting or finance function.Exposure to statutory audit, secretarial compliance, and tax management.Prior experience coordinating with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
