Role Overview
As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading branch operations, ensuring compliance with RBI regulations, achieving business targets, providing excellent customer service, and managing the branch team.
You will play a critical role in driving growth, maintaining operational efficiency, and delivering a superior customer experience.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
- Manage daily branch operations ensuring smooth workflow and high service quality
- Lead, coach, and supervise branch staff to achieve performance and productivity targets
- Drive revenue growth through cross-selling forex products and increasing customer footfall
- Ensure strict compliance with RBI regulations, internal controls, and audit standards
- Deliver excellent customer service, resolve customer issues, and manage escalations effectively
- Monitor cash handling, forex transactions, and risk management processes
- Prepare regular reports on branch performance, financials, and compliance
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to recommend appropriate services and products
- Maintain proper records of forex transactions, customer documentation, and reports
- Control operating costs and maintain profitability targets
- Foster strong relationships with customers to build trust and encourage repeat business
- Coordinate with central office and other departments for operational support
- Conduct periodic training sessions for branch staff on product knowledge and compliance
Skillsets Required
Proven experience (3-5 years) in managing a financial services or forex branchGood understanding of foreign exchange services, RBI guidelines, and compliance requirementsStrong customer relationship management and interpersonal skillsTarget-driven with the ability to develop business and achieve sales objectivesStrong decision-making and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage cash operations and forex transactions accuratelyGood knowledge of risk management and audit processesStrong communication and presentation skillsProficiency in MS Office and basic banking / forex softwareLeadership and team management skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and operational dataEducational Qualification
