Role Overview
The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in driving business growth by executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, coaching the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.
This role demands a performance-driven individual who is proactive in identifying market opportunities and delivering strong customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
- Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business targets
- Support the Sales Manager in monitoring team performance and driving productivity
- Lead and manage a team of sales executives, providing guidance, coaching, and training
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners
- Identify new business opportunities and help expand the customer base
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to suggest actionable plans
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and business insights to senior management
- Monitor and ensure achievement of sales targets (Revenue, Volume, New Client Acquisition)
- Address customer escalations and ensure timely resolution
- Assist in planning and executing promotional activities, campaigns, and sales events
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements
Skillsets Required
3 - 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in B2B or B2C salesStrong understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and marketdynamics
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsGood analytical skills for market research, sales forecasting, and competitive analysisExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead, motivate, and manage a small sales teamResult-oriented and target-driven with a problem-solving mindsetProficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, etc.)Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skillsAbility to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environmentEducational Qualification
