Description : About the Role :
The Senior Analyst will independently manage components of consulting projects, focusing on regulatory filings, tariff modeling, cost optimization, and policy impact assessments.
The role demands strong analytical capability, familiarity with regulatory processes, and proficiency in managing data-driven deliverables for power utilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review financial and tariff models for generation, transmission, and distribution utilities.
- Draft and support submission of ARR / MYT filings, PPA evaluations, and fuel cost analyses.
- Conduct in-depth policy and regulatory impact analysis, assessing implications on clients operations.
- Collaborate with managers to design methodologies and prepare technical documentation.
- Lead data collection, validation, and quantitative analysis efforts.
- Participate in client discussions, represent project insights, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Support junior analysts through training and model validation.
- Track regulatory updates, policy amendments, and industry trends for continuous knowledge enhancement.
Required Skills :
Hands-on experience with regulatory filings, PPA analysis, and financial modeling.Proficiency in Excel (VBA, scenario modeling) and PowerPoint for executive-level reporting.Strong research, analytical, and presentation abilities.Familiarity with CERC / SERC regulations, Electricity Act, and Tariff Policy.Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple project modules.Education and Experience :
Postgraduate in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Energy Management preferred.35 years of relevant experience in regulatory, tariff, or policy consulting within the power sector.Should have completed at least 4 regulatory or policy assignments in the domain(ref : iimjobs.com)
