SCOPE
The Industrial Relations Lead - India is responsible for building and sustaining a positive and harmonious employee relations climate across the Region. The role holder will oversee industrial relations strategy, grievance management, compliance with labour legislation, and committee engagement to ensure workplace harmony and minimize industrial disputes.
In addition, the role is accountable for driving Employee Relations initiatives to foster employee engagement, well-being, welfare initiatives and partners with leadership on strategic HR / IR projects to support business objectives.
Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for executing the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions, and protocols of the Organization
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive positive industrial and employee relations by engaging with committees and resolving disputes quickly
Ensure full compliance with labour laws and regulations, while proactively addressing audit and inspection requirements
Drive employee engagement and People Connect initiatives across the Region to strengthen culture and morale
Implement and manage employee welfare and well-being programs to support health, safety, and work-life balance
Collaborate on strategic HR / IR projects and engage external stakeholders to drive business and workforce initiatives
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Labor Law (preferred)
10+ years of progressive experience in Industrial Relations / Employee Relations within large-scale manufacturing / multi-unit organizations
Proven experience in union negotiations, grievance handling, statutory compliance, and engagement with government authorities
Strong understanding of labour legislation, compliance frameworks, and industrial dispute management
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
